Description
Horningtoft, a village and a parish in Norfolk, 3 miles NW from Elmham station on the G.E.R., and 5 S from Fakenham. Post town, Dereham; money order office, Whissonsett; telegraph office, Great Ryburgh. Acreage, 1416; population of the civil parish, 184; of the united ecclesiastical, 761. The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Whissonsett, in the diocese of Norwich. The church is an ancient building of flint in the Early English style, and the tower of it fell in 1796. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
