Description
Herringby, a hamlet in Stokesby parish, Norfolk, on the river Bure, 5 miles WNW from Yarmouth. It formerly had an hospital, founded in 1475 by Hugh Attefenne, it formerly also was a parish; and it still ranks as a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Stokesby, in the diocese of Norwich.
