Description
Hackford, a village and a parish in Norfolk, on the river Yare, 1 1/2 mile S by W from Rimberley station on the G.E.R., and 4 miles W from Wymondham. Post town, Wymond-ham; money order and telegraph office, Kingloam. Acreage, 838; population, 667. The Earl of Rimberley is lord of the manor. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £175. The church, a small building of stone in the Early Decorated style, was restored in 1886. Charities, £14.
