Description
Gooderstone, a village and a parish in Norfolk, 4 miles ENE of Stoke Ferry station, and 6 1/2 SSW of Swaffham station on the G.E.R. There is a post office under Stoke Ferry (S.O.); money order and telegraph office, Stoke Ferry. Acreage, 2791; population, 394. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £90. The church is a large edifice of stone in the Early English style. There are Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels, four almshouses, and a village reading-room.
