Description
Dilham, a village and a parish in Norfolk. The village stands on the river Ant, 2£ miles E from Worstead station on the G.E.R., and 13 NE by N of Norwich, and carries on some trade in corn. The parish comprises 1573 acres, and its post town is Norwich; money order and telegraph office, Worstead. Population of the civil parish, 378; of the ecclesiastical, which includes Honing, 677. The living is a vicarage, united with the vicarage of Honing, in the diocese of Norwich; -joint net yearly value, £220 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church, a building of flint and red brick, consists of nave, south porch, and a circular embattled tower, and was built in 1775.
