Description
Denver, a village and a parish in Norfolk, on the Lynn &nd Ely and Downham and Stoke Ferry railways, which here form a junction, 1 mile S from Downham Market. There is a station on the railway, and a post office under Downham ; money order and telegraph office, Downham. Acreage, 8144 ; population, 803. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £627. Patron, Caius College, Cambridge. The church is ancient, with tower and spire, and was restored in 1870. There, is a Wesleyan chapel. Dr Brady, master of Caius College, was a native.
