Description
Claxton, a village and a parish in Norfolk, near the river Yare, 2 miles WSW of Buckenham station on the G.E.R., and 4 NW of Loddon, with a post office under Norwich ; money order office, Bergh Apton; telegraph office, Loddon. Acreage, 1007 ; population, 155. The living is a limited rectory in the diocese of Norwich; gross yearly value, £42. The church is a small building of flint, and there is also a Baptist chapel.
