Description
Beighton, a village and a parish in Norfolk, 2 miles SW of Acle, and 4 NNE of Buckenham stations on the G.E.R. The parish has a post office under Norwich; money order and telegraph office, Acle. Acreage, 1029; population, 266. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; net yearly value, £239, with residence. The church is Decorated English, and was restored in 1847, and again in 1890, when a handsome tower was added. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
