Barford, a village and a parish in Norfolk, on the river Yare, 5 miles NNW of Wymondham station on the G.E.R., and 8 W by S of Norwich. It has a post office under Wymondham, which is the telegraph office; money order office, Barnham-Broom. Acreage, 1083; population, 363. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich; gross. value, £288 with residence. The church is a building of flint and rubble in mixed styles, and there are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels:
