Description
Winceby, a parish in Lincolnshire, 5 1/2 miles ESE of Horncastle station on the G.N.R. Post town, Horncastle. Acreage, 853; population, 61. A battle was fought here in the Civil Wars of Charles I. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £183. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is an edifice of stone in the Early English style.
