Description
Torrington, West, a parish in Lincolnshire, 3 miles N by E of Wragby, and 2 from East Barkwith station on the G.N.R. It has a post office under Wragby; money order and telegraph office, Wragby. Acreage, 1151; population, 160. There is a parish council consisting of six members. The living is annexed to East Torrington. The church was rebuilt in 1862, and is a small edifice of stone in the Decorated style containing a very large Norman font. There are Wesleyan and Free Methodist chapels.
