Description
Thimbleby, a parish in Lincolnshire, 1 mile WNW of Horncastle station on the G.N.R. Post town, Horncastle. Acreage, 1387; population, 221. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £330 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Decorated style, and was restored in 1879. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels.
