Hykeham, South, a village and a parish in the district and county of Lincolnshire, on the river Witham, 2 miles S from Hykeham station on the M.R., and 4 SSW from Lincoln. Post town, Lincoln; money order and telegraph office, Thorpe-on-the-Hill railway station. Acreage, 1201; population, 96. The township of Haddington, 1 1/2 mile to the SW, is partly in this parish and partly in the parish of Aubourn. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net yearly value, £164 with residence, in the gift of the Lord Chancellor. The church was restored in 1869.
