Snelland, a parish, with a village, in Lincolnshire, on the Hull and Lincoln branch of the M.S. & L.R., 9 miles NE of Lincoln. Post town, Lincoln; money order office, Wickenby; telegraph office, Langworth railway station. Acreage, 2811; population, 130. The manor belongs to the Cust family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £178 with residence. The church, which was almost wholly rebuilt in 1863, is a building of stone in the Early Decorated style.
