Witham, North, a parish, with a village, in Lincolnshire, on the river Witham, 4 1/2 miles WSW of Corby station on the G.N.R., and 9 S of Grantham. Post town, Colsterworth, under Grantham. Acreage, 2437; population of the civil parish, 199; of the ecclesiastical, 269. The manor belongs to the Earl of Dysart. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; gross value, £550 with residence. Patron, Viscount Downe. The church is a building of stone in the Transitional and Perpendicular styles, and has a spire.
