Howell, a parish in Lincolnshire, 1 1/4 mile NNW from Heckington station on the G.N.R., and 4 1/2 miles N by E from Sleaford. Post town, Sleaford; money order and telegraph office, Heckington. Acreage, 1583; population of the civil parish, 73; of the ecclesiastical, 61. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £102. The church is a small building of stone in the Norman, Early English, and Decorated styles, and contains some very ancient monuments.
