Hareby, a parish in Lincolnshire, 4 miles W of Spilsby station on the G.N.R., and 6 ESE from Horncastle. Post town, Spilsby; money order office, Bolingbroke; telegraph office, Spilsby. Acreage, 763; population, 38. The manor belongs to the Tooth family, who reside at Hareby House. The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Bolingbroke, in the diocese of Lincoln; joint gross yearly value, £526 with residence. The church, excepting the chancel, was rebuilt in 1858.
