Description
Hameringham, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 4 miles ESE from Horncastle station on the G.N.B. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Horncastle. Acreage of the civil parish, 1238; population, 144; of the ecclesiastical, with Scrafield, 182. The manor belongs to the Coltman family. The living is a rectory, united with the rectory of Scrafield, in the diocese of Lincoln; joint gross yearly value, £370. The church was restored in 1894. There are Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels.
