Flixborough, Lincolnshire

Description
Flixborough, a township and a parish in Lincolnshire. The township lies adjacent to the river Trent, 3 1/4 miles NW from Frodingham station on the M.S. & L.R., and 10 NW of Glanford Brigg. The parish includes also a small part of Crosby township, and it has a post office under Doncaster ;, money order and telegraph office, Burton-on-Stather. Acre-j age, 2651; population of the civil parish, 242; of the ecclesiastical, with Burton-on-Stather, 1072. The living is a rectory, united with the vicarage of Burton-on-Stather, in the diocese-of Lincoln; joint net yearly value, o£500 with residence. Patron, Sir B. D. G. Sheffield, Bart. The church was erected in 1885, and is a building of stone in the Late Decorated style.
