Bucknall, Lincolnshire

Bucknall, a parish in Lincolnshire, on an affluent of the river Witham, 2 1/2 miles NE from Stixwould station on the G.N.R., and 6 1/2 W of Horncastle. It has a post office under Lincoln; money order office, Bardney; telegraph office, Southrey (R.S.) Acreage, 2543; population, 331. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net yearly value, £170 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Early English style, and there are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels. The parish is under the jurisdiction of the Commissioners for Draining Fen Lands.
