Description
Barlestone or Barlston, a township, a village, and a chapelry in Market-Bosworth parish, Leicestershire, 2 1/2 miles NE of Market-Bosworth, and 3 SW of Bagworth station on the M.R. It has a post office under Hinckley; money order and telegraph office, Market-Bosworth. Acreage, 1067; population, 805. The living is annexed to Market-Bosworth. The church is a plain Gothic building of stone. There are Baptist and Primitive Methodist chapels, and an endowed elementary school.
