Yealand Conyers, a township and an ecclesiastical parish. in Warton parish, Lancashire. The township lies 9 miles from Lancaster, and 2 1/2 N by E of Carnforth Junction on the L. & N.W.R., with a post, money order, and telegraph office under Carnforth. Acreage, 1582; population, 304. There is a parish council of five members and a chairman. The ecclesiastical parish includes Yealand Redmayne. Population, 526. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Manchester; net value, £294 with residence. Patrons, Hyndman's Trustees. The church is in the Early English style, and consists of chancel, nave, N aisle, and low western tower. There are a Roman Catholic chapel, a Friends' meetinghouse, and endowed schools.
