Description
Wennington, a township in Melling parish, Lancashire, with a station on a section of the M.R., at the junction of the line to Furness, 6 miles S by E of Kirkby Lonsdale. It has a post office under Lancaster; money order office, Melling; telegraph office at the railway station. Acreage, 980; population, 139. Wennington Hall is the seat of the Saunders family, who are the principal landowners.
