Description
Clifton-with-Salwick, a township in the ecclesiastical parish of Lund, Lancashire, at the mouth of the river Ribble, 3 miles ESE of Kirkham. There is a post office at Clifton, under Preston ; money order and telegraph office, Kirkham. Acreage, 3489, of which 459 are water; population, 470. The Clifton family are lords of the manor and principal landowners.
