Eastwick, Hertfordshire

Description
Eastwick, a village and a parish in Herts. The village stands on the river Stort, at the verge of the county, adjacent. to the G.E.R., near Burnt Mill station, and 5 1/2 miles ESE from Ware. Post town, and money order and telegraph office, Netteswell. Acreage, 841; population, 71. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St Albans; net yearly value, £245 with residence. The church, a building of flint and stone in the Early English style, was rebuilt in 1873 ; has a brass of 1564 and monuments of the Wards, and is good.
