Description
Dewchurch, Much, a village and parish in Herefordshire. The village is 2 1/4 miles SW of Tram Inn station on the O.W.R., and 6^ SSW of Hereford. It has a post and money order office under Tram Inn (R.S.O.); telegraph office, Tram Inn. The parish comprises 4921 acres, and includes the hamlet of Kiverknoll; population, 585. Mynde Park and Bryngwyn are the chief residences. A Roman camp is near the village. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Hereford; gross value, £335 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1877. It contains some ancient monuments, and in the churchyard is an old preaching cross, restored in 1871.
