Description
Birch, Little, a village and a parish in Herefordshire, 4 1/2 miles SW of Hoime Lacy station on the Hereford, Ross, and Gloucester branch of the G.W.R., and 6 1/2 S of Hereford, which is the post town; money order office. Much Birch; telegraph office, Tram-Inn. Acreage, 1019; population, 248. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford; net value, £172 (with the donative vicarage of Aconbury annexed). The church was rebuilt in 1869. There are also Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels.
