Tidworth, South, a parish, with Hampshire Cross hamlet, in Hants, 1 mile SSE of North Tidworth, and 3 miles from Ludgershall station on the M. & S.W. Joint railway. Acreage, 2302; population, 258. Tidworth House is the chief residence. The kennels of the Tidworth Hunt are in this parish. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Winchester; gross value, £370 with residence. The church is a handsome stone building in the Early English style, and was erected in 1880.
