Description
Kimpton, a parish in Hants, bounded on the N by Wilts, 2 miles from Weyhill station on the M. & S.W. Junction railway, and 6 W of Andover. It contains the manor of Shoddesden, and has a post office under Andover; money order and telegraph office, Weyhill. Acreage, 2794; population, 281. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Winchester; value, £300 with residence. The church is Early English and cruciform.
