Description
Rissington, Wick, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire, adjacent to the Fosse Way, 2 miles ENE of Bourton-on-the Water station on the G.W.R., and 3 S of Stow-on-the Wold. Post town, Stow-on-the Wold; money order and telegraph office, Bourton-on-the Water. Acreage, 1267; population, 226. Wyck Hill House is the chief residence. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £185 with residence. The church is Norman and Early English, was enlarged about 1833, and restored and enlarged in 1879. It contains a piscina and aumbries.
