Description
Randwick, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire. The village stands 1 1/2 mile NW of Stroud, and has a post office under Stroud; money order and telegraph office, Caincross. The parish contains also the hamlet of Oxlinch, and is all within Stroud borough. Acreage, 178 ; population of the civil parish, 546; of the ecclesiastical, 638. Eandwick Ash commands a fine view of the vale of Gloucester and the Malvern Hills. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; gross value, £122 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of Standish. The church is Perpendicular, and was restored and enlarged in 1867, and again in 1895. There are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist schools.
