Description
Prinknash Park, formerly extra-parochial, now a parish in Gloucestershire, 2 miles N of Painswick. Acreage, 223; population, 14. The house was the country seat of the abbots of Gloucester, gave entertainment to Henry VIII., passed to the Bridgman, Howell, and Ackers families, and belongs now to the Edwardes family. It includes an ancient chapel, and has been well restored.
