Description
Shurdington, Great, a village and a parish in Gloucestershire. The village is 3 miles SW by S of Cheltenham. It has a post office under Cheltenham; money order and telegraph office, Moorend. The parish contains also Little Shurdington, and comprises 1125 acres; population, 442. There is a parish council consisting of five members and a chairman. Greenway is the chief residence. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol; net value, £162 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of Badgeworth. The church is Early English.
