Description
Wambrook, a parish in Dorsetshire, 2 1/2 miles WSW of Chard station on the G.W.R. It has a post office under Chard; money order and telegraph office, Chard. Acreage, 1867; population, 231. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Salisbury; net value, £180 with residence. The church is a small plain edifice of stone in the Perpendicular style. The chancel was restored and a new vestry built in 1893. There is an old porch and doorway on the S side of the church, supposed to be Saxon.
