Thornbury, a parish, with a village, in Devonshire, 5 miles from Holsworthy station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Brandis Corner. Acreage, 2848; population, 310. There is a parish council consisting of six members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; net value, £200 with residence. The church is partly Norman, and has been restored. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
