Puddington, a parish in Devonshire, near the river Credy, 9 miles N of Crediton station on the L. & S.W.R. It has a post office under Morchard Bishop; money order and telegraph office, Witheridge. Acreage, 1385 ; population, 206. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; net value, £14.0 with residence. The church, excepting the tower and the porch, was rebuilt in 1838. There is a Congregational chapel.
