Description
Landcross or Lancras, a parish in Devonshire, on the river Torridge, 2 miles SSE of Bideford station on the L. & S.W.E. Post town, Bideford. Acreage, 347; population, 70. The manor was formerly known as Lancras or Langrasse, belonged to the Giffards, and passed to the Eolle family, who sold it in 1888. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter; gross value, £50 with residence. The church is very small and good.
