Description
Putford, East, a village and a parish in Devonshire, on the river Torridge, 9 miles SW of Bideford station on the L. & S.W.R. Post town, Brandis Corner; money order and telegraph office, Bradworthy. Acreage, 2379; population, 139. The living is a chapelry, annexed to the rectory of West Putford, in the diocese of Exeter. The chapel consists of chancel, nave with bell turret, and N transept. It was. almost completely rebuilt in 1882. .
