Description
Bulkworthy, a parish in Devonshire, on the river Torridge, 7 miles SW by W of Great Torrington, and 9 SSW of Bideford railway station. Post town, Brandis Corner; money order and telegraph office, Holsworthy. Acreage, 1504; population, 124. The manor belongs to the Rolle family. The living is a chapelry, annexed to the vicarage of Buckland-Brewer, in the diocese of Exeter. The church was built by Lord Chief-Justice Hankford.
