Description
Renishaw, a village in Eckington parish, Derbyhsire, on the river Rother and the Chesterfield Canal, with a station called Eckington and Renishaw on the M.R., 6 1/2 miles NE by N of Chesterfield. It has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Chesterfield. Renishaw Hall is the seat of the Sitwell family, who are lords of the manor. There is a large iron foundry.
