Description
Radbourne, a parish in Derbyshire, 5 miles W of Derby station on the G.N.R. It has a post office under Derby; money order office, Kirk Langley; telegraph office, Mickleover. Acreage, 2182; population, 367. Radbourne Hall is the seat of the Chandos-Pole family. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Southwell; gross value, £353 with residence. The church was restored and beautified in 1883, is in the Early English style, and consists of nave, N aisle, and chancel, with pinnacled tower; and contains an ancient font, curious oak-carving, and some splendid ancient monuments.
