Donisthorpe, Derbyshire

Description
Donisthorpe, a hamlet and an ecclesiastical parish in Leicestershire and Derbyshire. The hamlets of Donisthorpe and Oakthorpe form a joint township, which has a station on the Ashby and Nun Joint railway, and a post, money order, and telegraph office under Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Population, 29 55. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1838. A number of the inhabitants are colliers. The living is a "vicarage in the diocese of Southwell; value, £200. Patron, "the Bishop of Southwell. The church is modern.
