Description
Curbar, a village, a township, and a parish in Derbyshire, 4 1/2 miles NE of Bakewell. Post town, Sheffield; money order and telegraph office, Calver. Area of township, 1153 acres; population, 336. The parish also comprises the townships of Calver and Froggatt; population, 790. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Southwell; net value, £241. Patron, the Vicar of Baslow. The church was built in 1868.
