Chaddesden, a parish in Derbyshire, adjacent to the Derby Canal and the M.R., 2 miles E of Derby, under which it has a post office ; money order and telegraph office, Spondon. Acreage, 2175 ; population, 682. Chaddesden Hall is the seat of the Wilmot family. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Southwell; net value, £87 with residence. There are a Wesleyan chapel and six almshouses.
