Solport, a township in Stapleton parish, Cumberland, 7 1/4 miles NNW of Brampton, and 5 from Penton station on the North British railway. Post town, Roweltown; money order and telegraph office, Brampton. Acreage, 3236; population, 197. There are a Friends' meeting-house and a Presbyterian chapel.
