Description
Hethersgill, a township in Kirk Linton parish, Cumberland, on an affluent of the river Line, about 5 miles from Longtown station on the North British railway. Post office, Carlisle; money order and telegraph office, Brampton. Acreage, 5465; population, 627. The living is annexed to the rectory of Kirk Linton; net joint value, £180 with residence. The church, erected in 1876, is a small building in the Gothic style.
