Description
Gamblesby, a township in Addingham parish, Cumberland, 4 miles ESE of Kirkoswald. Post town, Langwathby (R.S.O.) Acreage, 5393; population, 223. The living is, annexed to the vicarage of Addingham in the diocese of Carlisle; joint net value, £313 with residence, in the gift of the Dean and Chapter of Carlisle. A church was built here in 1869.
