Description
Bothel and Threapland, a township in Torpenhow parish, Cumberland, near the river Ellen, 4 1/2 miles W of Ireby. Acreage, 3389; population, 386. There is an endowed school here, and a post office at Bothel, under Aspatria (R.S.O.) Limestone abounds, and is worked.
