Mabe, St, a parish in Cornwall, 2 1/2 miles SSW of Penryn station on the G.W.R., and 3 1/2 W by S of Falmouth. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Penryn. Acreage, 2569; population, 648. The parish council consists of ten members. Granite is quarried. An ancient cross is at Holland. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Truro; value, £260 with residence. Patron, the Bishop of Truro. The church is ancient, has a lofty granite tower, and has been restored. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
