Tamerton, North, a parish in Cornwall, on the river Tamar, 5 1/4 miles from Holsworthy station on the L. & S.W.R., and 9 N by W of Launceston station on the G.W.R. It has a post office under Holsworthy; money order and telegraph office, Holsworthy. Acreage, 5302; population, 430. There is a parish council consisting of seven members. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Truro; net value, £162. The church, restored, is an ancient building of granite and stone.
